Myofunctional Therapy Evaluation and Treatment Plan

At this appointment we will perform a detailed evaluation and discuss your treatment plan.
Program costs vary depending on the number of sessions needed.
Myofunctional therapy is done in multiple session programs. The number of sessions varies from patient to patient based on his or her needs. Your therapist will discuss the appropriate number of sessions at your Evaluation and Treatment Plan appointment.
Myofunctional Therapy Sessions
30–45 minute sessions
Sessions are held every 2 weeks and focus on:
Breathwork
Active exercises to restore muscle function of the orofacial area
Passive exercises to habituate nasal breathing, proper tongue and mouth posture, and proper swallowing
Building patient awareness
Poor habit elimination
Pre-operative and post-operative exercises and stretches when tongue tie releases are necessary
